These rights are enshrined in the <a href=\"https:\/\/laws-lois.justice.gc.ca\/eng\/const\/page-15.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/legisquebec.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/showdoc\/cs\/c-12\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Quebec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms<\/a>, the <em><a href=\"http:\/\/legisquebec.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/showdoc\/cs\/ccq-1991\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Civil Code of Qu\u00e9bec<\/a><\/em>, the Universal Declarations of rights and specific declarations and laws relating to human rights.<\/p>\n<h3>Fundamental rights include:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>right to life<\/li>\n<li>right to personal integrity and inviolability<\/li>\n<li>right to liberty and security<\/li>\n<li>right to dignity<\/li>\n<li>right to privacy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><div class=\"flex_column av_one_half  flex_column_div   avia-builder-el-6  el_after_av_one_half  el_before_av_section  avia-builder-el-last  column-top-margin\" style='padding:0px 60px 20px 20px ; border-radius:0px; '><section class=\"av_textblock_section \"  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock  '   itemprop=\"text\" ><p>The expression, &#8220;Persons\u2019 Law&#8221; refers to the protection and representation of minors, and adults whose ability to take care of themselves and \/ or administer their patrimony is in question. When this incapacity is noted, homologation of a protection mandate given in anticipation of the incapacity or institution of tutorship\u00a0 (guardianship) may be considered.<\/p>\n<p>Persons\u2019 Law favors the interest of the individual, respect for their rights and for the safeguard of their autonomy. A conflict may arise between the goals of protecting and respecting autonomy. The law favors the appointment of a relative as the legal representative of a person.<\/p>\n<p>Human rights form the basis of the recognition that a person deserves respect at all stages of his \/ her life. The biggest challenge is to enforce these rights.<\/p>\n<p>Our field of practice favors the defense of rights in issues related to health, individuals and collectives.
